An AR documentary

An AR documentary

We developed the JFK Moonshot app, an interactive documentary that lets users explore the Apollo 11 mission through Augmented Reality. The app uses advanced AR technology to create a life-size simulation of the Saturn V rocket, the same rocket that launched Apollo 11 to the Moon. The app first debuted on June 12th at the JFK Space Summit, and on July 16th, the 50th anniversary of the Moon launch, users could experience a virtual launch and follow the spacecraft's journey to the Moon over the course of five days.

Edutainment

Edutainment

JFK Moonshot offers a rich educational experience, featuring archival videos, AR mini-games, and leaderboards to engage users of all ages. Whether users are revisiting the Moon launch or learning about it for the first time, the app makes this historic event accessible and exciting. It serves as a fitting tribute to President Kennedy's vision, bringing the story of the Moon landing to life in a way that resonates with both those who remember it and a new generation.

In creating the app, we also drew on source materials provided by NASA, ensuring an accurate and immersive experience for users. This project is part of a year-long celebration of the Moonshot's 50th anniversary, using modern technology to honor a moment in history that once seemed impossible.
