LaLiga Entertainment, in partnership with PortAventura World and Kosmos, set out to elevate the theme park experience for football fans worldwide and drive visits to PortAventura World. We created an innovative, immersive experience that redefines football fan engagement and sets a new benchmark for theme park entertainment.
The result was The Beat Challenge, a groundbreaking experience that merges the thrill of PortAventura World with a hybrid football gaming adventure. Utilizing augmented reality and geolocation technology, we brought the football world to life within the park. Visitors interact with 200ft AR footballers like Gerard Piqué and Karim Benzema, unlocking and playing over 40 levels and mini-games, each unique to different areas of the park, offering a dynamic and evolving journey.
The Beat Challenge tests players' football skills, with progress tracked on an interactive map. Users can customize their avatars and collect rewards as they explore. The experience begins at home with a training mode teaser, encouraging fans to visit the park for the full adventure. This innovative platform represents the future of hybrid, location-based entertainment, providing LaLiga fans with a continually evolving digital experience.
